What You Choose to See, 2026, Monoprint, ink, oil pastel, and hand stitching on cotton fabric, 42cm × 59.4cm

During my crit for the Cycle of Perfect Decay, some feedback suggested that not everyone sees beauty in dying flowers, while others see them as a second life. Instead of my usual colourful florals, I chose to explore the opposite. The colour palette is different for me, but at this stage I'm experimenting with as many materials as possible before deciding how to move forward.

Forace, 2026, Monoprint, ink and oil pastel, 44.4cm x 63.0 cm

Forace is a word I created for Lexicon of Language, meaning foraged surface. This was actually my final piece from the project, but I wanted to share the work in reverse. my earlier experiments began to resemble the direction of my new project.

The piece combines monoprints and dip pen ink drawings. I printed using ripped cardboard, my handbag, and bubble wrap. In some areas added oil pastel and tea washes. materials include newsprint, sugar paper, greyboard, tracing paper, handmade paper, and tetrapak.
